Fourth Week Of June Holiday

This week is the last week of the June Holiday and it is also the last day of the week. I went back to school on the first few days of this week to meet Yiting, Peng Sian and Junkang up for the Maths project on Monday and Joanna, Yuenyee, Zhao Jing and Peng Sian for Geography project on Wednesday as well as Badminton Training on Tuesday. Although we met each other up for these projects, none of them were successful.

For the Maths project, Yiting, Peng Sian and me counted the number of people who circled each option, however, I realised we made some wrong calculations when I went home so I had to count them all again with my brother. As for the Geography project, the rest met each other up in the foyer and started doing the project in the canteen first as I was having the Maths Remedial which was till 9.30am but I had not completed my worksheet so I had to be late. When I go down to the canteen, they did not ask me to do anything so I just sat there, looking around and watching them do something, which I was not very sure what it was too. They were not very satisfied with the result so they wanted to do some other thing instead of that one but they had to go for their Maths Remedial which was 11.30am so someone had to go home and complete it.

Today I went for my Electone class and it was quite interesting this time as we learnt a new song called “So Long, Farewell’. Though it was just the right-hand.

Third Week Of June Holiday

Today is Friday and my parents had went to Thailand, Bangkok. They should be at Changi Airport now. They are going to Bangkok with a few of their friends. My sister, brother and me are not going along with them as they only went there for temples as well as ask the monks there about some things. Especially about my cousin who had recently ran away from home. We all hope that she would come home soon.

I had completely all the written English homework and only left with one more blog entry for next week, the last week of the June holiday.

I went back to school on Monday for badminton training and after that, I called Yuenyee as she missed call me twice. She told me that the English Newspaper Commentary had to be two articles for each theme but I had already done all 6 so I went to ask Ms Ang and she said do one more of each theme… So in the end I had to do 7 Newspaper Commentary.

I did not do much this week except going to Block 640 twice for tuition. On Tuesday, my sister and I went there too early. It starts at 6pm but we went there at 4pm because we forget the schedule. So we had to sit there and do nothing. Luckily they are “helpful” people, the teacher’s mother helped to call up the other two students to come earlier for tuition that day. And the tuition starts at 5pm that day. However, the teacher was especially fierce that day as well as Thursday!

Second Week Of June Holiday

During the second week of the June holiday, i did my first CIP for this year, had two Algebra Remedial Sessions in school and went to my first holiday badminton training.

On Wednesday, it was my first CIP for this year at Shop N Save Serangoon North Block 542B, where my group was appointed to. In the morning, Yuen Yee came to my house as she was not very sure of how to go, so we sat my father's car there because my parents are going for work after that. The purpose of this CIP was to encourage people to use reusable bags instead of plastic bags. Our job was to make observations of how many people used reusable bags and how many plastic bags they took from the counter and also to make a survey of whether people are aware that it was Bring Your Own Bag Day and whether they supported it or not. It was fun though boring. The five of us change our jobs each time we get bored of each. However, at 5 something, when Yuen Yee and I went back to school, by my grandfather's car, to submit the observation forms and survey forms to the office, the admin worker in the office told us that the CIP hours had to be cut short as we did not leave the place at the correct time stated on the letter and many students also went back to school earlier than us. We informed the other three of us later after that.

The two Algebra Remedial was on the last two days of this week. It helped me to solve algebra more easily now as I was not very sure whether to change the signs or not last time. And not to forget, yesterday was Yuen Yee's Birthday !

First Week Of June Holiday

Today is the last day of the first week of the June holiday and it is also my birthday. Yesterday was Joanna's birthday, Wednesday was Min Feng's birthday and Monday was Yi Ting's Birthday.

I have currently completed 5 pieces of English Homework - Three Newspaper Commentary and both Paper 6 and 7 for Reading Rites.

I went to school on Tuesday for Badminton Training and Parent-Meeting Session in between the training. And on Wednesday, I went to school for the Chinese Cultural Camp.

The Chinese Cultural Camp was very interesting and fun although it took the whole day before we could go home. The camp was from morning 8am to evening 5.30pm. The purpose of the camp was to let us know more about our own culture and other cultures. In the morning, each class was appointed to a classroom and we were to learn about our own culture. We learnt to do paper-cutting, drawing calligraphy and using rice and beans to make a drawing. After that, we had our lunch and continued with the activities in the afternoon when we formed groups of Chinese, Indian and Malay students and learnt about what each culture do. I have learnt a lot of things from this camp.

Self- Introduction

My name is Tan Shueh Kee (18) . I am currently studying in Chong Boon Secondary School and I am from class Respect One (2E1). My hobby is playing the electone and playing the computer, which can be the reason why i do not usually finish my tuition homework.

I have two siblings, one sister and one brother. I guess their hobby is playing the computer too. My parents are often out to work but we sometimes get to go out on Sundays. My grandfather usually bring me to school and bring me home from school. On every Saturday, he would bring me to Thomson Plaza for my organ lesson except on the "Yamaha Holidays".

My class, Respect One, have 39 people. Although we are noisy, sometimes, or maybe most of the time, we usually pay attention in class and listen carefully and attentively in class when the teacher is talking or teaching.

My school, Chong Boon Secondary is quite a fun place to study. The teachers are kind and helpful, willing to help u when you have trouble doing your work and thus, they are easy to approach when you are in need. My school is a "Clean and Green place" just like my country, Singapore.
